Hello all you fashion enthusiasts!
This is a section that almost anyone can contribute to. :)
You don't need to know how to sew, glue, knit, tape, measure, shape, or anything!
All you need know is how to put some clothes on and take some pictures of it.
Let me start by talking about "Street Fashion". All who know me know that I have an intense interest in Japanese Street Fashion. Basically, there are pictures collected by magazines and other periodicals in Japan that are not of models or professionals. They are simply pics of kids out on the streets. After all, isn't that where the real fashion is? I'm sure more people are apt to take influence from someone they saw at a club or at the mall then some ridiculous outfit paraded about on a Style Network runway.
So I would like to develop a large database of fashion trends throughout the US and other countries.
All I need now are lots and lots of photo submissions!
What I am looking for:
- pics of you and your friends in club get up
- modeling pictures of you with your clothing and "fashion" being the main
content of the photo
- pics of you (or you and your friends) hanging out and looking very
fashionable
- pics you've taken of yourself that really show off your clothes
Please check out some examples of pics I had laying
around that would be good for submission.
Categorizing your submissions:
It is very likely that I will have to divide the galleries into
categories.....especially if there are a large number of photos submitted.
This will make it easier for those who wish to view only one particular kind
of street or club fashion.
The following are all possible gallery categories:
- Goth (traditional, romantic, etc.. anything that isn't EGL)
- Cyber
- Fruits (colorful japanese-influenced fashion)
- Elegant Gothic Lolita and LBG fashion (Little Big Girls)
- Rivet, Industrial, Futuristic, Militant
- neo-80's and 80's metal fashion
- Fetish and Pin-Up fashion
There will probably be other sections as well....I am open for suggestion.
When you submit pics please let me know if you have a category preference.
(Note: You may also submit to more then one category since few of us stick
to just one major trend)
If you have issues with being "categorized".....well.....don't be so silly!
It is just for reference. A small way of making my life a bit easier. And
also others who may be looking for just one kind of "look". If you are not
sure or really don't care what category I put you in, let me know and I will
stick you where it makes the most sense to me. And if by chance, you don't
fit into -any- section, I may create an "other" category but I want to limit
submissions to it.
Picture Rules: (read carefully before
submitting!!!!)
- Pictures must be clear and of decent quality
- Pictures must NOT contain any nudity
- Pictures may have copyright text on them but they must be yours and
without any "watermarks" across the bulk of the photo
- All images submitted must be owned by YOU (or send me your photographer's
contact info so I can get permission)
- If there are other people in the photo...please tell them to send me a
letter granting permission to use the photo or give me their contact info so
I can ask)
- Images must be between 200x200 pixels - 800x800 pixels
