Squeakmachine.com is all about subcultural unity and collaboration. Without the help of others, I couldn't possibly cover enough ground to fit every eccentric style in and have a little something for everyone on here. The more people that submit tutorials, pics, and essays...the more diverse this site will become. Its success depends on all of you. So please, take the time to submit pics and info!

So what's in it for me???

Since I pay for SqueakMachine.com out of my own pocket, I can not compensate you for your effort and donation with money. However, if your tutorial is accepted you will be given full credit and will link to any chosen site. It will introduce you to the world and give you a chance to put up your contact info or webpage info. Promote your store, modeling page, Ebay seller account, personal page, whatever! It is free advertising!

more less Submitting Gallery Images

I'm just looking for random images featuring extreme, eccentric, colorful, creative, and fun make-up, fashion, and hair. These pictures will be featured in the galleries and a select few will appear as examples in the various essays and sections. Each picture will be credited and, if you have a webpage, linked as well.

What I am looking for:

  1. pictures of fun, eccentric, colorful, and/or creative style
  2. pictures that are of good quality; vivid and clear
  3. images that are at least 300x300 pixels or larger (I will make some exceptions)

What I am NOT looking for:

  1. pictures of mundane, everyday style (there are already millions of websites for that!)
  2. fuzzy, poor quality pictures
  3. nudity (let's try to keep this website PG rated!)
  4. images that are not of you or a consenting person! (If your friend is in the pic, please have her e-mail me a quick "okay" before sending the image)
  5. images that are not copy written to YOU

  • description / caption for your image(s)
  • the name you want to go by for crediting purposes
  • a link to your website if you have one

Submitting tutorials requires a bit more work on your part but is VERY very much appreciated. Those who donate to the tutorial section will earn a special place in my heart...as well as on my webpage.

For starters, let me explain to you what a tutorial is:

The tutorials break down, step-by-step, how to do something...be it a make-up look, article of clothing, or hair style. Each tutorial consists of several pictures accompanied by text that explains how each step was done. The tutorial can be simple or complex, it can take only 5-6 steps...or more then 10.

How to go about submitting tutorials:

First of all...you DO NOT have to set up the tutorial page. You don't even have to crop or edit your pictures. All I need from you is a few pics showing each step and a basic text run down of how it was done....and I will do the rest.

What you need to submit:

  1. Pic of the make-up/tools/materials used to create the look or craft.
    • An image of the make-up/tools/materials used to create the look or craft.
    • Brief list of the make-up/tools/materials used in your tutorial...be sure to include brand names and colors if possible!
  2. One pic per step that shows how each step was done.
    • pics should be between 200X200 pixels to 500X500 (I will crop them down later)
    • pics should clearly show how each step was achieved
    • pics should be clear and of decent quality and well lit!
  3. Brief text written explanations of how each step was done.
    • label each step when you send it via e-mail. ex. Step 1: blah blah blah, Step 2: lala la lalala la la, Step 3: djjdfjdhjdfurfhyrfbjhff, etc...
    • If you are unsure how to explain a step you did, just write in the most basic explanation, I will bulk it up later
  4. One to three pictures of the completed look, craft, or final result.

Don't forget these with your Tutorial submission:

  • the name you want to go by for crediting purposes
  • a link to your website if you have one
  • a banner or picture advertisement for your site if you have one
